MobilityPODS. - Functional Cupping Course

Toronto - July 28th, 2019

Ottawa - July 21st, 2019

Burlingon, Ontario - August 18th, 2019

Halifax - September 15th, 2019

We are taking an Ancient Chinese Technique  - and adding a functional spin to our sports medicine approach to Mobility Cupping with MobilityPODS. Push, Pull, and Unlock Myofascial Adhesions while strengthening muscles and movement with this unique concept to Chinese Cupping.

Education powered by M2T-Blade, Cups by Rapha Health Cups

Cupping is a type of alternative therapy that originated in China. It involves placing cups on the skin to create suction. The suction may facilitate healing with blood flow.

We use Chinese Cupping with functional movement and exercise to help clients get out of pain, move better, and live a better life!

With MobilityPODS 1 Day Certification Course, practitioners and trainers will learn:

- History of Cupping

- Functional Assessment & Screening

- Treatment using cups

- Functional Movement & Exercise while applying cups

How can cupping help my clients?

The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow, and sedate the nervous system (which makes it an excellent treatment for high blood pressure).

With our functional approach to assessment and muscle testing, practitioners can apply our silicone MobilityPODS to muscles and muscle that are causing restriction and impede performance and blood flow.

Day 1 - IASTM {Price Includes Blade} & Kinesiology Taping

Time: 9am - 5pm

Location:

300 Commerce Valley Dr E, Thornhill, ON L3T 7X3

This is a 1 day Certification course that will teach practitioners a functional approach to IASTM featuring the M2T-Blade. This course is open to Health Care Practitioners such as Physical Therapist, Fitness Trainers, Chiropractor, Massage Therapist and Sports Therapist.

The M2T- Blade is the cornerstone of our entire course system, but in conjunction our course aim’s to teach a more well rounded way of treating patients.

Teaching proper use of the M2T is vital, but our course also includes functional assessment and muscle testing to implement prior to treatment, as well as corrective exercises to implement with the patient post M2T treatment.

We do this because we believe that the best way to solve many issues is to not only treat and affect the areas with a ‘hands on’ approach, but we then allow the patients to activate the faulty tissues and take them through the newfound range of motion.

Using both functional and muscle testing prior to treatment allows us to check then recheck to see if the protocol we attempted made a positive change.

What you will learn:

 Functional Assessment and Movement Screen

– Muscle Testing – IASTM History, Mechanics, and Practice Utilization

– Treatment Technique and Procedures {Full Body}

– Rehabilitation and Corrective Exercise at the end of our 1-day Functional Approach To IASTM

– At Level I, practitioners will be able to assess using 3 methods and apply Functional IASTM to the entire body and prescribing exercise post-treatment

Once Registered, practitioner will be shipped Booklet, Instrument, and will be granted free lifetime access to online education.

Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Included in this course:

Expanding Boundaries in Kinesiology Taping Education

Prior to the M2T-FKT approach to Kinesiology Taping - the choices were limited and outdated.

This course introduces the concept of movement therapy and enhancement via functional taping methods. It includes a review of the current literature supporting the theory of kinesiology taping for the purposes of rehabilitation, edema/swelling management, neuropathic pain, scar mobility and postural management.

Functional Kinesiology Taping Course - What you will learn

  • Functional Assessment & Muscle Testing - Every client is different, why is all taping methods the same?

  • Myofascial Methods to Kinesiology Tape - Our bodies move in locomotion, and not individually!

  • Full Body Kinesiology Taping Techniques

  • Assess, Correct & Tape for over 50 conditions and improve performance!

  • Elevate your treatments and workouts and learn the new breed of taping - FKT.

At the end of this course, Therapist, Doctors, and Trainers will understand:

  • The physiological effects of kinesiology taping

  • Master functional taping and understand its role and use for the applications of rehabilitation, edema management, neuropathic pain, scar mobility and posture improvement.

  • Introduce the concept of fascia and muscle chain approach to the elastic therapeutic taping and a myofascial sequencing model of “Taping" movements, not muscles.
